During our recent New Year getaway at Kidd Street Cottages, I was utterly charmed by the tranquil ambiance and thoughtful amenities that made our experience memorable. Tucked away from the bustling main street yet within walking distance to delightful cafes and shops, the cottage provided the perfect escape for me and a few fellow ocean enthusiasts, eager to recharge before diving into the new year. The spacious Blue Wren Cottage was an ideal hideaway, complete with a cozy wood burner that wrapped us in warmth during those chilly evenings. We took full advantage of the expansive private verandah, where we indulged in relaxing afternoons with local wines and a delightful cheese platter. Sitting in the peaceful native gardens and being serenaded by nature's songbirds truly captured the essence of a serene retreat. With a fully equipped kitchen, we enjoyed preparing meals with fresh local ingredients, and I particularly appreciated the thoughtful touches like quality linen on the king bed and a digital flat-screen TV. This cottage has seamlessly blended comfort and relaxation, making it a top recommendation for couples and small families alike seeking a rejuvenating escape in the idyllic Hinterland of South East Queensland.
